Sports, Multipurpose Halls and Stadiums
There are stadiums and arenas everywhere of different sizes, but smaller facilities in schools or public areas, including swimming pools, require the input of both the acoustician and the system engineer. Particular attention must be paid to special requirements and demands of sports organizations such as FIFA, but also by local and municipal authorities.

World Cup stadia in South Africa 2010
New planning by gmp Architects in preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. ADA planned the sound reinforcement systems and made investigations in Cape Town for the sound propagation in the neighborhood.
Olympiastadion Berlin, Germany
Reconstruction of the old stadium with new roof and grandstand arrangement. ADA planned the sound reinforcement system and carried out detailed investigations about the sound propagation into the neighboring residential area of the stadium.
Mercedes Benz Arena Berlin, Germany
New construction of the originally called O2-Arena. Extensive computer simulation carried out by ADA secured a reverberation time of 2s in the occupied bowl. Several sound designs were investigated and led to the optimal installed solution.

World Cup stadia in Brazil 2014
New construction and reconstruction of the necessary stadiums in Brazil. ADA worked with gmp Architects on sound reinforcement system design in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Manaus. Our partner office WSDG planned sound reinforcement in stadiums in Maracana, Mineirao u.a.
World Cup stadia in Russia 2018
New and renovated stadiums. ADA worked together with Arhiton office of St. Petersburg. Extensive investigations were carried out for the sound systems in Lushniki stadium in Moscow as well as in other stadiums.
Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center
New construction plans in 2007 – 2009: Stadium for 60,000 seats, multifunctional arena for 18,000 seats and swimming stadium. Room acoustic conceptions of the complex roof structures and sound reinforcement system planning in the stadium
